2017 AMMC Scholarships

The scholarship application process for the American Museum Membership Conference is now closed. Thank you to those that sent applications.

For the 2017 AMMC we will offer two scholarships named in honor of two longtime AMMC participants and former Advisory Committee members, Barbara Dougherty and Roanne Katcher. Applications will be accepted through May 15, 2017. Applications will be reviewed by the AMMC Scholarship Committee and announcement of the recipient will be made by June 15, 2017.

The Barbara Dougherty Membership Scholarship is named for Barbara Dougherty, who was the Managing Chief Membership Officer at The Metropolitan Museum of Art for more than 30 years. This scholarship will be presented to a membership professional with three or more years of membership experience.

The Roanne Katcher Membership Scholarship is named for Roanne Katcher, who is the former Membership Manager of the High Museum where she served in this capacity for eleven years. This scholarship will be presented to a membership professional with less than three years of membership experience.

The purpose of these scholarships is to provide a comprehensive development opportunity to a museum professional working in the area of membership, who, due to financial constraints, would otherwise be unable to attend the American Museum Membership Conference.

The award of $2,250 per scholarship covers conference registration and lodging with the balance for travel. You will be asked to pay travel expenses and be reimbursed for actual expenses.
